New music arranger at barrel company Raffin GmbH

The Raffin’s daughter Friedlinde Engeser has arranged the music rolls for the model of the barrel organ R 20 + R 31 for quite a long time. Thus she is as well as her father Josef Raffin, her brother-in-law Wolfgang Kaupp, her sister Gudrun and her husband Rafael, the fifth member of the family Raffin that is actively involved in producing the organs. The trained social security employee came more indirectly to this demanding activity.

After Josef Raffin has searched a new arranger in the year 2002, Friedlinde offered to arrange a piece of music herself. This attempt was a success! Until now, there are more than 50 pieces of music of the model R 20 (to hear from tape 140 onwards) and more than 30 pieces of music of the model R 31(from tape number 164 onwards) which could be included in the program. World hits like “My way” by Frank Sinatra or “Rivers of Babylon” became exceptionally nice arrangements. The Rockīn Roll tape number 144 for the 20-organ became just as great. There has rarely been a tape before that has been sold much within a very short time. Many special versions came along that she could carry out to full satisfaction of the clients. The longstanding education as organist and violinist was useful to her. Today, she also plays - apart from those two instruments - the piano and the flute. She seems to have got the feeling of music from her father whom has it been a big request for decades that the pieces of barrel didnīt come just strict note after note on the tape, but that they get a finishing that is full of feeling.

For a while, Josef Raffin was worried to find someone who carries this feeling on. Thatīs over now. Father and daughter are on the same wavelenght. Although Friedlinde can normally work only half-days, because she has to provide for a 4-year-old daughter and a 10-year old son, itīs foreseeable when she can work the whole day on the barrel company. Then you can expect some more beautiful arrangements.
